Civil Engineering Project Manager

Role overview:

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering infrastructure projects. This includes technical design, project and contract management, and active engagement with clients and stakeholders. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Undertake the design, analysis, and review of civil engineering projects, including:
• Bulk water supply and reticulation systems
• Sanitation infrastructure
• Roads and stormwater systems
• Associated building and municipal infrastructure
• Manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Fulfil the role of Engineer/Employer’s Representative in terms of contract administration.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians where applicable.

Key Requirements:

• BTech or BEng Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng / PrTech), or eligibility to obtain registration within 6 months.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in:
  • Infrastructure and bulk services design
  • Contract administration and project management
  • Construction monitoring and quality assurance
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Software Programme proficiency in AUTOCAD CIVIL 3D, EPANET, HCE-RAS will be advantages
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Willingness to relocate to Springbok, Northern Cape.
