This forensic science building is regarded as one of the most complex and technically sophisticated buildings in Southern Africa. The building was planned in a five “finger” pattern for the five different departments. It is a four-storey building with basement parking adding up to 26 000m² floor area. The offices wrap around each floor maximising the window space. Sustainable design features especially energy saving measures were brought into the design.
