The rehabilitation and upgrading of National Route 1, Section 16 between Winburg Interchange (km 77.5) and the Winburg Station (km 89.8)

This project, located on the N1 National Route approximately 100km north of Bloemfontein, was the largest roads projects in the history of BVi Consulting Engineers at the time of award. The essence of the project is the upgrading of the existing section of roadway from a 2 lane highway to a 4 lane divided dual carriageway facility. Construction started in January 2016 and completed April 2018.
